Greeting All on this beautiful morning,
Firstly Stewart from Hospice Hope is presenting the choir with a certificate in appreciation of the money we raised for them at the last concert. This will be at next week’s practice. Marion would like us to wear our turquoise and black outfit for the evening as there will be photos!! No need to worry about black folders or shoes but if possible could you pin your butterfly onto your tops. (Sharon has spares)
Next are the proposed dates for our remaining concerts. These are not definite dates as yet, except the September one.
Friday Sept 9th Be Our Guest Concert Definite
Thursday Dec 1st Ellistown TBC
Dec 9th/10th St Denys Ibstock TBC
Weds 15th Dec Barlestone TBC
Just a reminder to those who were at choir last week and info for those who weren’t, we are holding a Ladies Clothing and Accessories stall at the Ibstock Palace from 10 – 12 this Saturday morning. (accessories being such as bags, purses, scarves, jewellry etc.)
Can any donations be brought to choir this Thursday please. Mary is letting us borrow her rail so coat hangers would be useful as well if possible ( I will try to bring them back to you).
I won’t actually be at choir on Thursday, but if donations are left in the schoolroom I will collect them on Friday morning.
We decided last week to split any monies between the choir and Hospice Hope.
I will be at the Palace all Saturday morning, so any offer of help on the stall would be much appreciated.
Marion ……….. sorry not to see you this week. Hope you had a really good break and raring to go !!!
A few details for the above concert.

Julie (choir member) has received an e-mail from a lady offering singing lessons. The general gist of the e-mail is as follows;
The lady is Georgia Lorimer and is a singing teacher recently returned to the area and wishes to build up her business in Hugglescote. She is very experienced and her particular passion is for helping people with less confidence with singing and understanding music. She offers, vocal line learning, learning to read music, sight singing and improvement in voice quality. If any-one is interested her details are

Firstly as some members don’t seem to be receiving the e-mails, could you please acknowledge receipt of this, so that I can tell who is or isn’t getting them. Thank you
Secondly there will be no choir practice next week 24th but back to normal on 31st.

We are performing a concert at Ibstock Methodist Chapel (where we practice) on Wednesday May 25th. This will be in support of Hospice Hope. Please put this in your diary and tell as many family and friends as possible.
Also Broomleys Choral Society (Marion’s ‘other’ choir) are singing at Hugglescote Church on Saturday 19th March.
Not sure what they are performing, but it’s bound to be good. Tickets from Marion.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to Michelle for organising yet another lovley evening out for us at Curve.
Great company, great seats and a wonderful show. All in all a fabulous night out.
Thanks Michelle. Looking forward to seeing you all next week
